Course Description:

Participants will learn the fundamentals of foundations and advocacy and explore what’s possible when funders prioritize public policy. Alliance Chief Public Policy Officer and VP, Arizona Grantmakers Forum Laurie Liles will share the rules of the road for foundations that want to fund and engage in advocacy. Vitalyst Health Foundation President and CEO Suzanne Pfister will present recent examples of how her foundation’s engagement led to public policy improvements for the communities they serve.
